The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald
Nick Carraway is moving to a little town called Long Island, near New York. In this literature reference, Nick tells us that there is a certain person called Jay Gatsby, or as he likes people to call him, Gatsby. Many people drive out from New York just to have a cocktail at his house. However, Nick asks himself: "Just how did he get all this money?" There are many different rumours about that, but Nick wants the reality, he wants the truth. As he gets more and more along with Gatsby, he finds out that he is in love with a woman called Daisy Buchanan, married. He has kept this secret for five long years, and he seems ready to admit it to her. Will he do it? Will Nick discover how he got all his money?
Fitzgerald's masterpiece is one of the greatest American novels of the Jazz Age of the 1920s, and goes deep into the hollow heart of the American Dream.
