Time has gone by for Greg Heffley, but it's gone by quite badly. His older brother, Rodrick, knows that Greg's got another one of his "journals", so Greg better keeps his journal locked up, partly because Rodrick got hold of his last journal. Better not talk about it right now.
Even with his Rodrick's problems, his summer wasn't what he was expecting it to be.
